5 minors under the age of 17 accused of stealing cars
Authorities have charged 5 children under the age of 17 after they allegedly stole 3 cars.
Police have charged 2 boys, aged 16 and 17 years, and 3 girls, including 2 thirteen-year-olds and a 12-year-old, with theft of a motor vehicle, theft of petrol, and criminal damage caused to one of the cars.
The vehicles are believed to have been stolen from Moe between Tuesday and Wednesday last week.
The 16-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl have been remanded in custody and will appear before the Children's Court on May 23.
The others are due to face court on July 4.
