Man charged following armed robberies in Churchill & Moe
Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an armed robbery at a post office in Churchill and two attempted armed robberies in Moe.
It is alleged the man armed with a firearm entered the post office on West Place in Churchill on 21 April and made demands for cash which was handed over.
The attempted armed robberies allegedly occurred at a service station in Moe on the 19 April and a Moe post office on Thursday May 4.
Police arrested the Morwell man in Moe on Thursday morning.
The 68-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery, two counts of attempted armed robbery and theft.
He appeared briefly in the Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court.
