Second person arrested following Morwell carjacking

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a second person following an alleged carjacking in Morwell on 2 October.
The alleged incident occurred on Church Street about 11.45pm where two teens demanded a man get out of his car before they got in and drove away.
An 18-year-old Morwell man was arrested today and charged with aggravated carjacking, armed robbery, theft of motor vehicle and theft.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
A 17-year-old boy from Morwell was arrested on Friday (5 October).
He was charged with carjacking and remanded to appear at a Children’s Court at a later date.
