Chester checks out OK after Parliament collapse
The Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester will return to work today after a rushed trip to a Canberra hospital yesterday.
Mr Chester collapsed in Parliament yesterday morning, with fellow MPs and House staff rushing to his aid. He was then taken to a Canberra hospital for some tests.
The Veterans Affairs and Defence Personnel Minister said those tests cleared him of any serious medical issues, with the moment of disorientation likely to be fatigue-related.
Mr Chester has expressed his appreciation to those who rushed to help him.
Darren Chester released a statement, below.
