A cause is still being established but the common link appears to be dogs eating raw beef from the same supplier.

Work continues to identify the toxin involved but as a precaution, local vets are advising people not to feed raw beef purchased from the start of June.

Vets say most dogs don’t get sick but the signs to look for include: excessive thirst, not eating, vomiting, lethargy, and yellowing around the eyes and gums.
