After a thriller voting, Netta from Israel has won the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Toy', written and composed by Doron Medalie and Stav Beger.
Israel won the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with 529 points, followed at a decent distance by Cyprus with 436 points.
Both were top favourites to take the trophy home.
Austria's success — a third place with 342 points — came as a surprise.
Jessica Mauboy made it into the final 10 of Eurovision at Portugal.
Singing We Got Love, Mauboy competed against 17 other countries in the semi-finals overnight, and scored high enough to the progress to grand final on Sunday morning.
The Age‘s entertainment editor-at-large in Portugal, Michael Idato, reviewed the performance.
“We look pretty good,” he said.
“I think most people would say the buzz on the room was amazing, she gets an incredible reaction wherever she goes.
