Gippsland Power have announced their coach for season 2019

Gippsland Power have promptly announced who will replace the departing Leigh Brown, as the clubs U18 TAC Cup Coach & Regional Coaching Director.

Power Assistant Coach Rhett McLennan will take the reigns, with his 14 years of coaching experience in major league country and metropolitan clubs making him the man for the job.

McLennan has been involved with Gippsland Power for the past four years as an Under 18 Assistant Coach and the past two years coaching the Under 16 Gippsland Power Team.

McLennan played a total of 306 games of football including 3 senior Premierships, he also knows what it takes to reach the highest level having had pre-seasons with Brisbane Football Club and the Carlton Football Club.

"I’m really looking forward to the excitement of getting out there and working closely with the boys at training and helping them reach their goals and dreams" said McLennan.

The first introduction to the players and parents of the new coach will be at the Player Parent information day on this Sunday at Lowanna College, Newborough.
