A truck rollover closed the Princes Highway near Stratford this morning

10.50am update: Lanes have been re-opened in both directions.

As at 6.30am Monday:

The Princes Highway is closed east of Stratford after a truck rolled-over early this morning.

The incident happened while the driver was trying to avoid a deer and there were no other vehicles involved.

The truck driver has been taken to hospital for assessment but seems to be OK.

The highway is closed between Rileys Road and Bengworden-Stratford Road, with diversions in place.

Police estimate it may remain closed until around 10am.

The partner of a police officer who passed away last year has walked through Gippsland as part of 3,000 km walk around the state, raising funds for the Victoria Police Psychology Unit.

Donna Bowman was joined from Rosedale to Traralgon on Friday by officers and detectives from Sale, Wellington CIU, Heyfield and Traralgon.

Donna is hoping her walk and funds raised will help bring awareness to post-traumatic stress disorder and how deeply it affects those who are left behind.
