Bunyip only lost two games for the season both to the bombers, booking themselves a place with a thrilling five-point victory over Nyora in last week’s preliminary final.

It was a 31 point margin in favor of the bombers to decide last years competition, but captain Merryn Griffith said there is some nerves that come with trying to go back to back.

"I'm excited, a little nervous, we've had two weeks off so it wasn't the preparation we planned for the grand final, but i think with our training style we are coming into the game in pretty good shape" said Griffiths.

The key to dethroning the bombers will start with the midfield battle according to Bunyip's Nicole Cicciari.

"We mainly have to watch their centre players, because they are all pretty fit which makes it pretty tiring for us, but a key part is winning the centre clearences" said Cicciari.

The game will begin at 2pm at the Sale Recreation Reserve, with a curtain raiser of junior girls football before the match.
