Three people taken to hospital after a collision near Yallour North

Emergency services responded to a head-on collision in Yallourn North yesterday afternoon (9 July).

It's understood a grey Ford Falcon was turning right from Latrobe River Road onto Brown Coalmine Road when it veered onto the wrong side in the path of a westbound Isuzu 4WD.

Both vehicles swerved to avoid a collision, in turn colliding head-on.

The driver of the Ford, a 28-year-old Moe man, and the driver of the 4WD, a 24-year-old Newborough man, were both taken to hospital for observation.

The female passenger in the Ford, a 49-year-old Moe woman, was airlifted to hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing, with anyone who witnessed the collision urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
